Two Weeks of Takeout or Dinnerly?
Disclaimer: I was provided two weeks worth of meal boxes from Dinnerly for this comparison. All opinions are solely mine. Hey guys! As most of you know that after having kids, life gets super hectic. Sometimes I struggle to put a wholesome meal on the table for my family because either I am too tired or let’s face it after a long day taking care of a hyper toddler I get plain lazy. My family and I end up turning to takeout more often than we should. Each order adds up money wise and adds to our waistlines! Recently I had the pleasure of trying Dinnerly– A subscription box…

Greek Lemon Chicken Kabob with Garlic Yogurt Sauce
I’ve been yearning to share this recipe for a while now and I am just now getting to it! Better late than never right? These Greek Kabobs are quick, easy to make and super healthy! Seriously! What more could you ask for in a dish right? Kabobs of different variations are on rotation every two weeks or so in my household. If you don’t have lemons on hand, use limes! I have used both and the dish turns out great either way! You could place the skewers over a salad or in a pita pocket for a quick lunch or light dinner. I placed them on a bed of couscous…

Authentic Punjabi Chole
I grew up eating amazing Gujarati food cooked by my mother. It was only until I was older that I was introduced to Punjabi food and that was usually at a restaurant. Punjabi food has literally taken over almost every single Indian restaurant menu! I married into a Punjabi family and needless to say the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Oh and not having to go out to a restaurant to eat it is a major plus. Did you know that real authentic chole will always be a dark color as opposed to a red tinged curry? Look out for the imposters! Thus far I have posted recipes for…

Tandoori Chicken Tzatziki Pita Pockets
These Tandoori Chicken Tzatziki Pita Pockets are perfect for a quick weeknight meal or even lunch. I often whip these up ahead of time and assemble them at the last minute when I’m in a hurry. The Tzatziki will stay fresh in the fridge (in an airtight sealed container) for upwards of one week although in my house it’s usually gone in a few days. Grill a batch of the tandoori chicken a few days ahead, and it can re-purposed for other dishes as well as this one. Make-ahead dishes are my favorite, time is very precious and unpredictable due to the baby, therefore make-ahead meals are definitely a lifesaver…

Lip Smackin’ Chicken Francese
Chicken Francese is one dish that I always order at an Italian restaurant if it’s on the menu. I have tried for years to recreate the recipe at home but until now I just could not replicate that tantalizing buttery lemony taste. After some tweaking here and there I believe we have a winner! I had my sister in law (who by the way is Italian) try it and she approved as well!
