Dinnerly Meals

Disclaimer: I was provided two weeks worth of meal boxes from Dinnerly for this comparison. All opinions are solely mine.

Hey guys! As most of you know that after having kids, life gets super hectic. Sometimes I struggle to put a wholesome meal on the table for my family because either I am too tired or let’s face it after a long day taking care of a hyper toddler I get plain lazy. My family and I end up turning to takeout more often than we should. Each order adds up money wise and adds to our waistlines! Recently I had the pleasure of trying Dinnerly– A subscription box service that delivers wholesome meals right to your door, all I had to do was follow the directions and cook the meals! All the ingredients are included excluding oil, salt, and pepper for the most part. Below I have given you a little more in-depth comparison of two weeks of takeout and Dinnerly including the pricing for a family of four.

Dinnerly Subscription Box Rundown

Dinnerly- I picked 3 Meals each for 2 weeks from the Family Box. You also have the option to choose 4 or 5 meals per week. Some of the meals I received were
1.) Thai Coconut Curry Chicken
2.)Stir Fried Beef Lettuce Wraps
3.)Pan Roasted BBQ Chicken
Total: $155.72(For two weeks- 6 meals in total) $77.86 Per Box Including Shipping($8.99)

All in all, I would definitely order Dinnerly again! The ingredients were top notch and fresh as can be, everything came with crystal clear instructions and it made my life so much easier. I cannot say that we will be giving up takeout completely but the Dinnerly boxes were so much healthier and I love that the recipes didn’t take a substantial amount of time to cook. From a financial perspective, I truly believe the Dinnerly subscription boxes come out on top because they have any options to choose from such as two-person meals to family boxes and everything is shipped straight to your door! The sheer convenience of it as well as saving me a trip to the grocery store had me jumping for joy! Try it out for yourself and thank me later!

  1. The only thing I don’t like about these box meals is all the plastic packaging. It’s so bad for the environment! But I don’t have kids so I can’t really relate to not having time to buy groceries. Then again, it’s probably better than the take-out packaging. Great comparison!

  2. This is my first time coming across dinnerly! I would love for them to be available here in Canada and have a vegan-friendly option.

  3. Looked like a no-contest for me. That dinnerly box subscription looks amazing. Some much fresh stuff and a good price. Stick with that!!

  4. I know exactly what you mean. As a new mom I am simply not in the mood to cook sometimes. The Dinnerly box sounds like a saver for some of those evenings when I can’t be asked to cook.

  5. wow seems that Dinnerly is an affordable option for cooking good meals at home. When you break it down it is a no brainer, besides a homemade meal is better than take out.

  6. Take out is nice and dinnerly is better. It’s an interesting idea. I think it’s budget friendly too. I would prefer to go for it as well.

  7. This sounds like an awesome box for people without dietary restrictions. It would be a great box for us if only they had an option for low carb/diabetic.

  8. I can’t really relate to box delivery services but I know people who love it and have it working perfectly. I am sure you used one of them

  9. I didn’t know about dinnerly. I need to check it out. Due to chronic pain I struggle with cooking, cooking from scratch is not possible for me daily. I am excited to try it.

  10. I do like meal boxes like this because you don’t get any food wastage and they are convenient But they do work out more expensive.
