Disclaimer: My Family and I were recently invited to experience Great Wolf Lodge in Boston, keep in mind that all opinions are mine and mine alone. Here is my honest review:
For those of you who are not familiar with Great Wolf Resorts is a chain of indoor water parks. The company owns and operates its family resorts under the Great Wolf Lodge brand. In addition to a water park, each resort features restaurants, arcades, spas and children’s activities.
Hotel- Unfortunately, due to other commitments I was unable to stay the night so I cannot speak on the rooms.
Check In
It was quite busy at 11 am when we arrived but the line moves quickly and our day passes were provided to us within 15 minutes. Now we head onto the waterpark itself which is only a short walk from the check-in desk.
Waterpark
They have two sides to the waterpark, one has a number of slides and a lazy river amongst other things and the other consists of a wave pool, kiddie park and giant slides for older kids. Note that the lazy river side had a cafe and the other did not although there was a kiosk for drinks as seen below. The wave pool side has cabanas that you could rent as well.
Food
In the waterpark itself, there is a small cafe that serves hot dogs, burgers, pizza, etc. I did notice they had a candy shop, Dunkin Donuts and a few other places to grab a bite. Closer to the check-in desk there is a sit-down restaurant called the Lodge Wood Fired Grill which is where we chose to eat. Our server was incredibly sweet and accommodated our every need! We decided to order a few dishes as you can see below and each and everyone was AMAZING, I kid you not I am still dreaming about our meal. Their drinks were on point and even J ate his whole kid’s meal which never happens!
My Final Thoughts
I would DEFINITELY return! Perhaps though this time I would visit the Great Wolf Lodge in Poconos, PA location because it is closer to us. I would probably try staying overnight to get a feel of the whole experience. It was perfect for my toddler and my husband and I really enjoyed it as well- which is always a WIN WIN in my book. Below is a picture of J passed out on the way home! You can say it was a BLAST!
