How do you Pesto?

Does the thought of store-bought pesto make you shudder? Well, I was the exact same way until I tried Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto. I’ll be honest I was not always the biggest fan of pesto because everywhere I tried it never made it right! I love that Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto comes in a bottled jar that can be placed in the pantry up until it is opened! Don’t you just hate when jars of sauces go bad in the fridge? This pesto is made with fragrant Italian basil and freshly grated Italian cheese. The texture is smooth, and it makes it easy to use in a variety of dishes, whether you are using it for pasta, sandwiches, dips, etc. We’ve made sandwiches, pasta, and pizza with it so far but one of my all-time favorite ways to make it is using it as a dip on my charcuterie boards! So YUM! Next on my list is trying to marinate some meat with it, I’ll let you guys know how that goes!

Last week I had some lobster ravioli on hand and decided to use this pesto to coat it in, I garnished it with some fresh parmesan cheese and we literally scarfed it down within seconds! The bottle looks small but a little definitely goes a long way!
