DIGGERLAND USA – A Construction Themed Park located in West Berlin, NJ

If you or your family are fans of all things construction related then this is the place for you! My son is obsessed with tractors, excavators, and everything and anything that involves building things so for obvious reasons Diggerland was a must-visit! My husband and I aren’t obsessed like our son but we still had an amazing time and would definitely go back. Let’s get right into our visit.

Arrival

We arrived when the park opened and proceeded to a booth to retrieve our wristbands for the day. You can easily purchase tickets online at DIGGERLAND and save yourself a bit of time. We headed straight to the waterpark because it opens two hours before the ride park. Please check the website for updated hours.

THE WATER MAIN

The waterpark also known as The Water Main was recently renovated and they added so much! They also have cabanas you can rent online to escape from the heat and rest up a bit. We enjoyed the Bulldozer Bay, Aquashot, Digger River and Vortex as well as an obstacle course called Rip Rap Run. There are areas around the waterpark for every age which is a huge plus! Our favorite area of the waterpark was most certainly Claw Hammer Cove which is their all-new wave pool! There are lounge chairs and regular chairs located all around the waterpark if you need to rest. My son is a water baby so we spent a huge chunk of our day here and I do not regret it one bit! There are also lockers to rent where you can place your belongings while frolicking in the water. The Tool Box is located right in the waterpark and is a great option after all of the splashing and swimming you will be doing.  We ate our food under the pavilion right next to it, it’s a covered area with ample picnic tables to enjoy your meal.

DIGGERLAND XL

After we spent most of our time at the waterpark we headed over to Diggerland XL and got down and dirty! They let you drive real heavy machines! J was even lucky enough to drive himself on a ride with the help of the operator! We really enjoyed the Ruxor Off Road Vehicle and the Army Battle Truck. The Dump Truck ride was a doozy but super exhilarating. They also have a huge arcade where you can spend some time!

Ages

Children who aren’t at least 36″ will not be able to ride on most of the attractions, for this reason, they are not charged admission. Sometimes, children under 42″ but above 35″ will be able to ride along with an adult or sit on their lap, but the best time to visit Diggerland is when your children are 42″ tall or more. There will still be some rides that require kids to be 48″ or taller to operate, but for the most part, they can do everything! J was able to ride most of the rides which was great!

Food

You are not allowed to bring your own food and beverage to Diggerland, these must be purchased at the park. Park dining options include The Lunch Pail and the Fork Lift Cafe, both serving up typical theme park food such as hot dogs, quesadillas, pizza, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and nachos. There’s also the Munch Box which has ice cream and other treats. There’s a new cafe called The Tool Box Cafe located inside the Water Main. Definitely try their quesadillas!

Pro Tip: Do not miss out on their yummy and refreshing lemonade- available around the park!

We had so much fun at Diggerland and cannot wait to visit again! Do go and check them out and let me know what you think! Till next time Ciao!

  1. That looks like a lot of fun. I’m sure my kids would have loved it there as well. Sounds like they have some good food options too.
