From the moment you set foot on the ship, you’re greeted by vibrant colors, playful decorations, and iconic characters straight out of Dr. Seuss’s beloved books. Everywhere you turn, there’s a sense of whimsy and wonder that captures the imagination and sets the stage for a memorable voyage.
Green Eggs and Ham Comes to Life
One of the highlights of “Suess at Sea” is the themed dining experience, where guests can enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by their favorite Dr. Seuss characters. The Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast is a must-try, featuring a mouthwatering menu inspired by the classic book. From green eggs and ham to colorful pancakes and whimsical desserts, it’s a feast fit for a Seussian feast. At the time of sailing we paid $10 per person for this experience. There are a few slots per day available. Once it opens up on the app (Carnival Hub) run to book it, check the app daily a few months before your sailing if need be. If you have a long time before your sailing the experience may show up as SOLD OUT but in fact it is not. If you only have a few weeks until your sailing and the experience shows as SOLD OUT then it just might be. You can also head onto the ship and see if there are any cancellations.
Suess on the High Seas
Beyond the dining experiences, “Suess at Sea” offers a variety of activities and events designed to entertain guests of all ages. From character meet-and-greets to interactive storytelling sessions, there’s never a dull moment onboard the Carnival Venezia. Children can unleash their creativity with Seuss-themed arts and crafts, while adults can relax and unwind with a Seuss-themed cocktail at the onboard bars.
One of the most anticipated events of “Suess at Sea” is the Seuss-a-Palooza Parade and Storytime, where guests can join their favorite characters for a lively procession around the ship. Led by the Cat in the Hat himself, the parade is a spectacle of color and music that brings the magic of Dr. Seuss to life in a way that’s sure to delight guests of all ages.
As the sun sets and the stars emerge, the festivities continue with Seuss-themed movie nights under the stars. Guests can snuggle up with a cozy blanket and enjoy classic Dr. Seuss films projected onto a giant outdoor screen, creating a magical atmosphere that’s perfect for family bonding and creating lasting memories. This experience is something I heard about from friends who cruised on other Carnival ships, Carnival Venezia did not offer this.

Of course, no voyage with “Suess at Sea” would be complete without a visit to the onboard Seuss-a-palooza Bookville, a whimsical reading nook filled with Dr. Seuss books and plush toys. It’s the perfect place to curl up with a good book and let your imagination soar as you embark on a Seussian adventure of your own.
