Spicy Queso Bean Dip

Game Time with Spicy Queso Bean Dip!

With the Superbowl right around the corner, this Spicy Queso Bean Dip would be a perfect accompaniment to your spread! I use the leftover the next day in quesadillas and tacos! I mean come on who doesn’t love a good queso and bean dip? A family favorite in our household and i’m sure it will become one of yours as well! Check out my Loaded Vegetarian Nachos for another option! I promise you’ll have to make more than one tray!

*Tip*- You can make this a day ahead but just make sure you warm it up right before serving in the oven, stir once to avoid any clumps. Ideally it’s best made right before serving!

Spicy Queso Bean Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 16 oz Cans of Refried Beans
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups Enchilada Sauce
  • 1 Brick Cream Cheese
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Cup Shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Pepper Jack Cheese Save a little for garnish
  • 1-2 ounc Jalapenos (Chopped) If you cannot find fresh jalapenos use the canned variety.
  • Black Pepper To Taste
  • Salt To Taste
  • Chopped Cilantro for Garnish
  • 1 Cup Salsa of you choice I use Mrs. Renfros Ghost Pepper

Directions

  • Place beans into large mixing bowl, stirring and mashing to combine.
  • Place butter into a small saucepan over medium heat to melt.  Add in mashed beans, cream cheese, and enchilada sauce.
  • Mix and bring together once heated. Once thickened, reduce heat to low and stir in cheese until melted smooth and thick. Stir in salsa, stirring to combine. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
    Bean Dip
  • Once all the ingredients have come together and the cheese has been dispersed and fully melted. Remove and place in a heat safe bowl. Garnish with jalapenos, cheese, and cilantro. Serve with tortilla chips or even toasted baguette/pita chips!

  1. My DH would love this! I may have to try it for him. I myself cannot eat anything spicy (gut issues) but I may have to attempt to alter it to “cool” it down because it looks so good!

  2. This looks delicious and I love the heat factor as well. I am making a jalapeno dip for the big game tomorrow and I am thinking this may be a new better option for me as I do love a good bean dip and then the fact that you added the heat factor… I am in! YUM!
