I opted for the Sunday Night Pasta, a mouthwatering dish Made Fresh Every Day! A Rich Slow-Simmered Meat Sauce with Chunks of Beef Short Rib, Ground Beef, Onions, and Garlic. Served over Spaghettini Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving more. My husband opted for Indochine Shrimp and chicken(swapping out the shrimp for more chicken) – A Fusion Dish of Chinese and Indian Flavors, Jumbo Shrimp, Chicken, Onions, and Sweet Ginger all Sauteed in a Delicious Spicy Sauce of Curry, Plum Wine and a Little Cream Topped with Sun-Dried Cherries and Apricots. Served with Steamed Rice. I will be honest and say that this dish was not something my husband or I liked. It had an awful aftertaste and just didn’t hit the spot as I thought it might.
Of course, no meal at Grand Lux Cafe would be complete without indulging in one of their legendary desserts. From towering slices of cheesecake to decadent chocolate creations, the dessert menu is a sweet lover’s paradise. We couldn’t resist sampling the famous New Orleans Beignets, pillowy fried dough dusted with powdered sugar and served with a trio of dipping sauces. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
