Affordable and Convenient Back To School Haircuts – Great Clips

Recently, we took J to get his haircut at Great Clips in East Meadow for his FIRST back-to-school haircut. While we were waiting for our turn there were quite a few people who came in and out for their own haircuts, which for me means that they must be doing a wonderful job! Seeing a loyal clientele is HUGE for me and put me at ease, gotta love those mom nerves!
CHECK-IN
To beat the wait we loved that Great Clips offers the free Online Check-in app which allowed us to add our name to the list before we arrived and find out the estimated wait, enabling us to maximize our time. I mean, I am usually literally running around all day long, so this was a great way to be able to plan accordingly!
HAIRCUT
J got his hair trimmed from a medium curly length to a shorter length. I hated to see his curls disappear but they were unruly, to be honest. His hairstylist, Kat, was AMAZING with him. She spoke to him often, reassured him he was doing great and complimented him on sitting still for the most part. Not only did she work with him patiently when he started having a bit of a breakdown but she also helped me feel comfortable. Kat continually asked for my input and her PATIENCE with him was BEYOND what I expected.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I was pleasantly satisfied with J’s haircut. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be taking him back to Great Clips often for his haircuts. The friendliness and overall demeanor of the staff went beyond the norm. I would highly recommend visiting Great Clips for kids’ haircuts as parents are thinking about back to school season and school pictures. Not only did J get a haircut but I got one right after him! I am extremely picky about who cuts my hair but Kat did an amazing job. I love that Great Clips exudes such a family-friendly environment. Not only does Great Clips offer amazing and convenient service, but they are also SUPER affordable!
