Top 5 Financial Tips for Families

  • Bank your Money – Each week my husband and I place $50 each in a jar without fail. There are weeks we may add extra but the minimum is $50. At the end of the month, we take our banked money and place it in our interest-bearing accounts. That money is strictly for future vacations and/or activities that we as a family would like to do.
  • Meal Plan – I started doing this about 3 years ago and it has truly been great! So much money is wasted on groceries that end up going bad and being thrown out! What a waste! I write my meals down for the week and then I compile a list of ingredients, once at the grocery store I buy ONLY what’s on my list then LEAVE! No more, no less! This has saved us $100’s!
  • Heating and Cooling for your Home – You could install a programmable thermostat to keep your heating and cooling costs down. Set the thermostat to lower the temperature automatically when you’re out of the house or turn off the air conditioning when you don’t need it. For even bigger potential savings, refinancing your mortgage could lower your monthly payment.
  • Reuseable Goods – I use Swedish dishcloths for cleaning as opposed to paper towels. I no longer use Zip-Lock Bags but use reuseable ones, I’ve also switched over to beeswax wrap instead of saran wrap. It saves me money and it’s better for the planet – WIN-WIN!
  • Sign up for a Rewards Credit Card – Rewards credit cards give you cashback on purchases, offer points for gift cards, or let you erase purchases with the points you earn. We have 4 between my husband and me and we’ve received so many perks including hotel stays and gift cards!

Are you Prepared and Protected for your Future?

One of the very first things my parents did for me was getting life insurance when I was a mere baby. That diligence was passed down to me now that I have a family of my own. I am very keen on picking the right financial products and services that mesh with our family’s needs and budget.

Luckily, with the help ofhttps://www.worldfinancialgroup.com/ World Financial Group, my family has been able to find and understand how much money to invest to be able to receive the proper coverage for my family.

World Financial Group backed by Transamerica has over 50,000 LICENSED agents who assist families like mine in better understanding their finances, gaining control over their finances, and preparing and protecting what is most important. The best part is that they offer products/services from over 50 well-known providers such as Nationwide. They also take it one step ahead and customize a plan that fits your specific needs and financial goals.

I for one definitely want to protect my loved ones and stay on top of my financial growth. It’s wonderful that they teach financial literacy, most financial talk can sound like mumble jumble to most of us. They make it easy and the process is super streamlined.

Here are two services they offer that we really found helpful:

Life Insurance – It depends on what type of coverage you are looking for and the amount. This will be based on your health, income, age, and how many people (dependents) you provide for. Setting an amount is never easy but that is something an agent can assist you with. World Financial Group suggests that your coverage provides approximately 10 times your household income. Again, there will always be a friendly agent to assist you throughout the whole process so no need to worry.

Retirement Planning – This is something me and my husband have spoken about numerous times. We do not want to retire and be left with barely any savings/residual income to enjoy our golden years. World Financial Group offers a plethora of ways to prepare for retirement such as Registered Retirement Savings Plans, and Tax-Free Savings Accounts and Annuities. The agents will walk you through the process and help you choose the right plan/service for you.

In closing, if you’re looking for a way to start your own business and/or learn more about their financial services, definitely look into becoming a World Financial Group Agent. They are always on the lookout for diligent, motivated individuals interested in becoming successful agents to join their wonderful team! This would be an amazing opportunity to kickstart a new career and help others achieve their financial goals! Cheers and Happy 2022!

You have some great ideas here. I always want to be careful with my money.

  2. We do most of these except meal planning. I tried it but there are some nights I just don’t want to cook or I’m in the mood for something else, so now we just keep staples on hand, things are easily prepared without much thought like stir fries and pasta. We hardly waste food, leftovers are eaten or given to our chickens.
