Summer Fun Indoors All Year Round – Coco Key Water Resort

Coco Key NJ

Disclaimer: I was given complimentary passes to Coco Key and Arcade Credit. All opinions are solely mine.

It’s been an extra long winter and my son and husband were just dying to enjoy a summer day. Β What’s a mom to do?! Well..take them to CoCo Key Water ResortΒ of course! We were able to cure our cabin fever with their ALWAYS sunny, 84 degree days all year round!

The CoCo Key Water Resort is located at the Hotel ML in Mount Laurel, NJ.Β  Our drive from Long Island took us a little over two hours due to traffic. Luckily the hotel/waterpark is conveniently located right off of the NJ Turnpike. We got to the hotel around 2 pm (there was plenty of parking available) and were told our room wasn’t ready yet. I requested early check in and was told that I would receive a text letting me know my room was ready in about an hour or so. About 20 minutes later our room was ready! Shoutout to a wonderful front desk staff! We received our room keys and wristbands to the park for that day and the following day.

Here are a few pictures and my thoughts on our room.

We were given a room with two queen beds, upon entering the room it was quite spacious for our family of three and best of all it was clean. For me clean bathrooms are a HUGE indicator to how an experience is going to go. The bathrooms were spotless! The room had all of the standard amenities such as a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Overall I was satisfied! After we rested for about an hour we decided to head down to the water park.

Coco Key Experience

The great thing about Coco Key is that it is connected to the hotel! Take the elevator down and just a short walk away is the water park! There is security at the door before you enter the waterpark so make sure you have your wristbands that were provided to you at check on your wrist! There is also Key Quest Arcade Room right next to the entrance as well as a small shop where you can redeem your arcade tickets for prizes. There is also gift shop for souvenirs and Coco Key memorabilia. If you have valuables or bags you can rent a locker at the waterpark.

They have a full bar on the same level as the main waterpark as well as a restaurant that serves pizza, tenders, burgers, etc. They also have a coffee shop and restaurant in the hotel itself.

Coco Key is geared more towards younger children, in my opinion, it was perfect for my toddler! They have a kiddie pool, a lazy river as well as slides and so many other fun things that young children will enjoy. Towards the back of the park, I did see two-three huge water slides and that seemed to be geared more towards older children/adults. The park was pretty packed both days (they have trained and certified lifeguards who are super vigilant on duty all day long) we went if you want to go when it’s a bit more mellow and not as crowded I recommend going when the park first opens for the day. It seems as though it gets more crowded as the day goes on (we were there on a Saturday and Sunday). If you are not staying at the hotel, Coco Key does offer day passesΒ to the water park for a nominal fee.Β  If you do want to stay at the hotel then there are some great Overnight Packages .

Overall it was a pleasant experience at Hotel ML and Coco Key! I cannot believe that I lived in NJ for 30+ years and had no idea this place existed until this year! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to go back soon!

Same here! The only place I knew of was six flags and that isn’t very toddler-friendly!

My family and I love waterparks, especially ones that are indoors for the cold winter months. I have this on my bucket list. Keep these gems coming because my mommy group loves your recommendations!
