Oasis Grand Cancun: A Nightmare Vacation

Oasis Grand Cancun: A Nightmare Vacation

I’m still reeling from my recent stay at the Oasis Grand Cancun, a trip that promised paradise but delivered a nightmare. If you’re considering this resort, please read on – this might save you from a vacation disaster.

A False Promise of Luxury

From the moment I arrived at the Oasis Grand Cancun, something felt off. The lobby, while grand in name, was overcrowded and chaotic. The check-in process was painfully slow, and the staff seemed indifferent to the long line of frustrated guests.

Our room was a major disappointment. The advertised “ocean view” turned out to be a glimpse of the ocean through a maze of buildings. The room itself was outdated and poorly maintained, with stained carpets and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly.

Food Fit for Garbage

The all-inclusive concept at the Oasis Grand Cancun is a cruel joke. The restaurants offered a monotonous selection of low-quality food. The buffet was a chaotic free-for-all, with food often running out and replaced with lukewarm substitutes. I tried several of the à la carte restaurants, hoping for a better experience, but was met with inconsistent service and mediocre food. The teas pictured below was the only saving grace when it came to drinks or food.

A Pool Party from Hell

The pool area was a constant battleground for sun loungers. Guests would “reserve” chairs with towels at the crack of dawn, only to disappear for hours. The pool itself was often overcrowded and filled with rowdy guests. There was no sense of relaxation or tranquility.

Service with a Smile (Not)

The staff at the Oasis Grand Cancun seemed more interested in their own conversations than in assisting guests. Requests were often met with indifference or outright ignored. It was clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority.

In Conclusion

My stay at the Oasis Grand Cancun was a complete waste of money and time. The resort is overcrowded, understaffed, and offers poor quality food and accommodations. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I was with this experience. All of the happy pictures you see are of us trying to make the best of it. We literally left after two days because it just was not up to par.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Cancun, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are countless other resorts that offer better value, service, and overall experience.

  1. I have to say this sounded a lot like a nearby all inclusive that we stayed at over the winter break. It was expensive, and crowded. When did you go to the Oasis? I can agree that the food was underwhelming where we stayed and that it was not tranquil. However, I did unfortunately anticipate that it would be quite crowded. Sounds like we had similar experiences. I think if it is around peak times, it is overcapacity.
